16th century Lackeen Castle. 12th century Augustinian Abbey, St. Ruadhan's Abbey and well. Dominican Abbey, 12th century Norman motte. The Stowe missal, probably Europe's oldest mass book, associated with Lorrha.
Nenagh
Finest Castle keep of its kind in Ireland, with Norman tower, Heritage Centre housed in old gaol, also remains of 13th century Franciscan Abbey.

Ashley Park
A large Neolithic burial mound dating 3,500 B.C. The entire national monument has a diameter of 100m.
Killaloe
St. Flannan's Cathedral 12th century style with 9th century Ogham stone. 12th century Oratory with Romanesque door.
Terryglass
Large unfinished 13th century Norman Castle (Oldcourt), remaining walls of the abbey which was part of the 6th century St. Colman's Monastery are in the village, also holy wells on quay road for cure of poor sight and headache.
Portumna Castle & Gardens
Built 1618, semi-fortified house, with formal garden to the North. Open to public in summer. Also close by a 15th century Dominican Priory.
Ballingarry
Lismacrory Burial mounds. (National Monument).
Graves of the Leinstermen
The burial place of a Leinster King and his small army, who were ambushed by Brian Boru's wife in the llth century, whilst on their way to a wedding in Killaloe.
Dromineer
An important port from the introduction of steam navigation in the 1820s. Canal Co. store survives on the shore. Early 1500s tower built by a local O'Kennedy. 10th century ruined parish church. Yacht Club dates from 1837.
